Prayer Request

Today Raju was teaching a class to some local people, including some Brahman devotees from one of the local temples he has been in conversation with. The subject was the eternal existance of Jesus from before the creation of the world (John 17:24). This teaching is in conflict with some of the tenents of Brahmanism and the devotees attending the class became upset and walked out of the class. They have gone to the local authorities, demanding Raju's arrest. While it may sound strange to those of us living in places where there is a separation of religion and government, the threat of arrest for teaching things contrary to the beliefs of those in power is very real for Raju. At this time, the authorities have not attempted to bring actual charges against Raju, but the conflict highlights the dangers he faces. Please keep Raju, Asha and their children in prayer and ask that God continue to provide protection and favor to them as they do their work.
